1. What are Cookies?

Cookies are small strings of text that websites visited by the User send to the User’s terminal (usually to the browser), where they are saved and then retransmitted to the same websites the next time the User visits them, in order to improve browsing on the website or send advertisement messages in line with the preferences shown by the User during web navigation.

Cookies are distinguished based on duration (session or persistent), origin (first or third party) and purpose (technical, analytics or profiling).

2. Cookies used by UNOX S.p.A.

2.1 Purposes

UNOX S.p.A. uses the following Cookies:

(i) Technical cookies: these cookies contribute to the correct functioning of the Website. Specifically, technical cookies make the User’s browsing on the Website easier, for example: remembering the data the User provides when filling out forms on the Website, recognising the User after logging in to the Website, personalising the Website interface based on preferences indicated by the User;

(ii) Analytics cookies: these cookies are intended to collect information and generate statistics relating to the use of the Website by Users in order to collect aggregate information on the number of visitors to the Website and its most visited pages. The analytics cookies used by UNOX S.p.A. may be:

- third party, when sent to the User’s browser by third-party sites different to the Website. Below are links to those third parties’ sites, so that Users can access and read the related information and provide or refuse (if tools that reduce the identifying power of the cookies are not adopted and the third party crosses the information collected with other information it already has) their consent:

3. Obligation of consent to the use of cookies

3.1. Obligation of consent

The use of profiling cookies requires prior consent from Users.

This consent is validly expressed by Users: a) when accepting the short policy in the banner that appears on the Website’s homepage by clicking “I agree”; or b) following the appearance of said banner, by continuing to browse the Website, accessing another area therein or clicking any of its elements.

Consent to the use of the afore-mentioned cookies will only be requested by UNOX S.p.A. when Users first access the Website. Afterwards, thanks to the use of a technical cookie, Users’ consent will be saved to allow them to directly access the Website’s pages on their next visit, without prejudice, in any case, to the possibility for Users to disable/enable and/or delete cookies at any time, as described in Article 4 below.

3.2. Absence of obligation of consent

UNOX S.p.A. is not required to request prior consent from the User for the use of technical cookies since these are strictly necessary to providing the service requested by the User on the Website and without prejudice, in any case, to Art. 4 below.

Likewise, UNOX S.p.A. will not be required to obtain prior consent to the use of first-party analytics cookies since these are similar to technical cookies in that they are used by UNOX S.p.A. to collect aggregate information on the number of Users and how they visit the Website itself.

4. Disabling and deleting cookies
