Unox S.p.A, market leader in high-end oven production and certified as one of the 100 best places to work in Europe, is looking for an Mechatronics Industrialization Engineer to join our Kaizen Promotion Officer Team.
Main responsibilities
You will handle the part of the production process involving automatic machines/systems for the manufacturing of components, sub-assemblies, assembly, or the functional and safety testing of Unox products.
You will play an active role in the design and creation of the aforementioned automatic systems or in their co-design with an external supplier:
In the case of internal design, you will start with an analysis of the specific requirement in terms of feasibility and QCT (Quality, Cost, and Time), moving on to the phases of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical (electrical panel), electronic (PLC), and software design (both low and high level) up to the creation of the automation and its startup within the Unox production process.
In the case of creation by an external supplier of the automatic machine/system, you will define the specifications based on which the supplier will develop the project, and you will monitor the manufacturing progress through the installation, testing, and startup phases within the Unox production process.
As a member of the KPO T&A, you will also handle:
The design, implementation, and maintenance of the utility systems serving the production machines (e.g., electrical power supply, data network, compressed air, and technical gases).
The design, implementation, and maintenance of the information systems (factory MES and SCADA software) that Unox uses to facilitate/automate the scheduling of production lines and systems or to monitor them.
The definition of safety standards and the drafting of the necessary documentation to ensure that the machinery (both purchased and self-built) complies with current regulations, such as the Machinery Directive and CE marking.
The definition and optimization of process technologies typical of sheet metal processing (e.g., laser cutting, punching, press bending, panel bending, welding, etc.).
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electronic/Mechatronic Engineering or an ITS (Higher Technical Institute) diploma in Mechatronics
Knowledge: Good knowledge of automatic systems and related components applied to the industrial/manufacturing sector
Skills: Strong aptitude for teamwork and problem solving
Excellent command of the Italian language
