We are thrilled to share that embodied carbon data is now publicly available for our MIND.Maps™ PLUS range of combi ovens.
ImpactLoop, a third-party expert on the decarbonisation of commercial kitchens, have carried out TM65 mid-level assessments on popular models from this range, and independently verified this data.
The embodied carbon data shows the total amount of carbon emissions produced during the entire lifecycle of a product. This includes the amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) released from the stage of raw materials being extracted from the ground, through to the manufacturing, use and disposal at the end of a product's lifespan.
Scott Duncan, Managing Director at Unox UK, says:
“As a manufacturer, we recognise we have a responsibility to provide the foodservice industry with sustainable solutions, as our carbon footprint has a direct impact on operators’ Scope 3 emissions. Our partnership with ImpactLoop has not only been put in place to benefit Unox, but our end-users, dealers, and kitchen designers we work with as well. Although we may sit in different stages of the supply chain, we are all connected and therefore must work together to create positive change. Although we may sit in different stages of the supply chain, we are all connected and therefore must work together to create positive change. For us, it is a challenge we take on every single day for the future: holding ourselves accountable and developing ovens that are increasingly energy-efficient.”
