Unox professional electric ovens have been designed and manufactured for restaurants, hotels, bars, bakeries, pastry shops, catering chains, fast food restaurants, banqueting facilities and big businesses such as hospitals, supermarkets, naval facilities and any place where food cooking is a profession.
Same performance, different power supplies
Unox ovens differ in range, field of use, model, control type and power supply. They have been designed and assembled to guarantee perfect cooking on each tray with the same performance ensured from both electric and gas power supplies. Professional electric ovens use high performance heating elements to quickly generate heat with maximum efficiency and precision. Unox gas ovens use powerful and efficient pressure burners for the same purposes.
Why choose a professional electric oven
If the electricity supply is sufficiently powerful, professional electric ovens are preferred to gas ones since they allow an easier and faster installation in the kitchen. Moreover, even the most powerful of professional electric ovens will not require any changes to be made to the kitchen in order to comply with safety regulations, unlike gas appliances. Another small advantage of using professional electric ovens is that an increased demand of electricity throughout the kitchen, as for example in case of peaks in workload, will not result in any drops in performance, as would happen with gas appliances (gas stoves, kettles, grills…) and ovens. So, despite what it is commonly believed, choosing between an electric oven or a gas oven does not mean having to choose between overall performance: all Unox ovens have been designed and assembled to guarantee perfect cooking on every tray with the same performance.
The choice between one or the other is instead based on the availability of sufficient electrical power and the daily usage time because this is the key element to determine the energy cost of the oven, which varies from country to country and from region to region.
